A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to invalid addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you have a shared website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet amazingly intuitive, and it will permit you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email address with no more than one click in case you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your emails are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the addresses that you set up with any domain hosted in your account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click that icon. In the same manner you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, if you don’t need it anymore. Our system will warn you in case you are trying to enable a second catch-all email address for a certain domain name or if there’s activated email forwarding, but it will never disable or change any feature automatically or without your approval.
